Involved in the sport and physical activity sector for over 30 years covering a range of roles from operational facility management, through working for an NGB to finally spending 5 years within a Public Health Department.
3 years experience of completing Quest assessments and Mystery Visits.

Skills
Due to my work experience I have excellent knowledge of both facility operations, the work of the NGB sector, strategic facility development/ planning and the importance of the linkages between the health sector and the leisure industry.
I hold a NEBOSH qualification and have had experience in delivering, within a leisure facility/ organisation, auditing, assessing and supporting health and safety arrangements.
Having led the delivery and piloting of the first ever Exercise Referral Quality Standard for Suffolk Public Health, and subsequently assisting Right Directions in developing the current Exercise Referral Standard module, I have a keen interest in and understanding of this area.
Interests
I have loved playing a variety of sports over the years at a variety of levels (!), hockey, badminton, tennis, golf and cricket, but these days apart from the odd cricket match and golf I tend to enjoy watching everything and anything sport related!
I love volunteering and in addition to being Vice Chairman of my local cricket club I also assist where I can helping other volunteers to organise the delivery/ growth in Suffolk of weekly sessions of a project called Sporting Memories, designed to help older adults to reminisce, replay and reconnect through the power of sport and physical activity.
